Minor raped in Bhojpur

Patna: A six-year-old Dalit girl was raped allegedly by a youth at Belauti village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on Sunday. olice said the accused is absconding after the incident. A resident of the same village, he had allegedly lured the victim, a student of Class I, on the pretext of showing her a television show and took her on the rooftop of the building and raped her.

Maoist attack

Gaya: Suspected Maoists late on Sunday evening torched around eight vehicles, after attacking the camp office of a construction company located on Rafianj-Goh road in Aurangabad district. The rebels also fired in the air and beat up workers during the attack.

Arrests

Patna: Two men were arrested while fleeing after snatching a chain from a person. The Patrakar Nagar policestation officers said the duo were fleeing along the road underneath the Rajender Nagar Bridge at the Old Bypass area.

Potato record

Patna: Nalanda district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Agarwal on Monday said that farmers in Darveshpura village of Katrisarai block of the district have set a new world record of a yield of 729 quintals of potato per hectare.

Munger: District magistrate Kuldeep Narayan on Monday held a meeting of district task force on pulse polio eradication scheme and directed the officials to pay special emphasis to eliminate the disease.
