2 dead in road mishap
Patna: Two persons died and three others were injured when a bus collided with a truck in the Beldari Chak area under the Gaurichak police station on Wednesday morning.
he accident occurred around 9am. The police said the bus was moving at a slow pace when the truck rammed into it from behind. The injured have been admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital. The truck driver fled the spot.
Patna: Ticket reservation counters of East Central Railways would not function in the second half on Friday. An official press note on Wednesday said that the current (Tatkal) ticket booking counters, however, would remain functional.

Patna: K.P. Ramaiah, the Patna divisional commissioner, on Wednesday sent a recommendation to the SC/ST welfare department for taking action against district welfare officer of Patna and the accountant posted in his office. The commissioner made this recommendation after he allegedly found irregularities in records kept at the office of the aforesaid officer.
Patna: Bihar State Electricity Board would collect a fuel surcharge of 11 paise per unit for the December from power consumers. The surcharge would be realised from consumers along with the March electricity bill, a Bihar State Electricity Board press note said.
