Nursery schools

New Delhi, Jan.27 (PTI): Children below four years can be admitted to pre-nursery schools as Delhi High Court has refused to interfere with the admission process, saying “inclusive elementary education” is needed for all.

The judgment came on a petition filed by an NGO, which said kids only above four should be admitted in schools.

Court 2G call

New Delhi: A Delhi court has issued fresh summons to Essar Group promoters Ravi and Anshuman Ruia, director Vikas Saraf and Loop Telecom’s I.P. Khaitan and wife Kiran after they failed to appear before the court last month in the 2G scam. The CBI had charged the five in December with conspiracy to cheat the exchequer.

Pune driver

Pune (PTI): Santosh Mane, the bus driver whose mindless ride killed eight persons in Pune, has been remanded in police custody till February 3 by a local court.

Anna remark

Jammu (PTI): Anna Hazare has distanced himself from his “slap for corruption” remark, saying he has never advocated violence and accused section of politicians of conspiring to brand him as a “big criminal”.
