Calcutta: Orissa batsman Natraj Behera was named captain of the 15-member East Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy on Wednesday. East begin their campaign on January 27 against West Zone at Valsad.
The squad: Natraj Behera (Orissa, captain), Ishank Jaggi (Jharkhand, vice-captain), Anustup Majumdar, Laxmi Ratan Shukla, Sreevats Goswami, Ashok Dinda, Sami Ahmed (all Bengal), Dheeraj Jadav, Abu Nechim Ahmed, Gokul Sharma (all Assam), Manish Vardhan, Shahbaz Nadeem (both Jharkhand), B. B. Samantray, Basant Mohanty (both Orissa), Subhrajit Roy (Tripura).
Standby: Rana Dutta (Tripura), Abhilash Mullick (Orissa).
