Hot And Spicy At Mainland China

In the year of the dragon, expect food at Mainland China to be just the way we like it, hot and spicy!

On Monday, the restaurant chain announced the launch of its annual Chinese New Year menu, which has been prepared keeping in mind the delicacies of Shanghai, Beijing and Sichuan.

Why choose Mainland China to celebrate CNY with your loved ones over the other Chinese hot spots? “Extensive research on our clients’ favourites in the past few months has given us a greater insight into what we should be serving this year. It’s the same chicken, fish and prawns but it’s the sauces, ingredients and preparation that make this menu drool-worthy!” said general manager Debashish Ghosh.

Some must-haves on the “hand-picked 25-item menu” available at all its city outlets are Chinese Thyme Soup with exotic vegetables, Jasmine Tea Noodles with baby pak choi, Chinese Black Pepper Fried Rice, Stir-fried Prawns with Hot Bean Sauce and Crispy Fish with Dried Chillies.

There’s something special for dessert too.

“Asians love their food. Every household sweetens the meal with a delicious coconut cake and as inspiration we have incorporated Wife’s Coconut Cake in our dessert menu,” said chef Rajesh Dubey.

Available till the end of January, a meal for two would cost between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,200 (plus taxes).
