The Natural Way

I am a 40-year-old man with an oily scalp but dry-ish hair. Could you please suggest what I should do for my scalp without drying out my hair even further?

S. Sen

Be careful about the haircare products that you use, and always use a conditioner for the hair-ends because from what you have explained to me it appears you have an oily scalp and dry ends. Also use shampoos for sensitive scalp.

I am a 27-year-old woman. I have combination skin. Usually winters are not a big bother for me. My skin gets a little dry but it is manageable. However, my nose gets really flaky and there is always skin peeling from it. What can I do about this problem?

Indrani

Every skincare routine needs to be modified with the changing seasons. Even the oiliest of skins start to feel a little dry for instance, your peeling nose is indication enough that your skin is crying out for attention! Clean your face well and on damp skin massage the following 2 drops of glycerine, 2 drops of olive oil and 1 tsp honey. Mix all the ingredients and massage well into the skin, leave on for five minutes and then wash off. Do this once a day, daily throughout winter and not only will your skin look smoother but will feel much softer too!
