Foreign funds

Mumbai, Jan. 13: The investment limit for qualified foreign investors (QFIs) in equities will be over and above the ceilings prescribed for FIIs and non-resident Indians but it will come within the overall foreign direct investment sectoral cap, the RBI said today. In a move designed to increase dollar inflows, the Centre recently permitted QFIs to invest directly in equities.

Glenmark

Mumbai, Jan. 13: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has received an interim order from an arbitration panel in the US against Napo Pharmaceuticals’ termination of an agreement regarding Crofelemer, an anti-diarrheal drug.

Calcutta, Jan. 13: Madura Coats, the firm that had moved a winding up petition against Dunlop India Ltd for non-payment of Rs 2 crore, today filed an application demanding appointment of a provisional liquidator in Dunlop for protecting company assets.

Coal gas

Calcutta, Jan. 13: Great Eastern Energy Corporation Ltd plans to expand the capacity of its Raniganj coal bed methane gas exploration block to 100 million cubic feet per day and not 20 lakh cubic feet per day as mentioned in Friday’s Business Telegraph report “Coal gas capacity boost for Bengal”.
