Guwahati, Dec. 27: Blue Bird Youth Club defeated Chamata Sports Club by six wickets in the inaugural match of the Chamata Challenge Trophy cricket tournament, which got under way at the Chamata Higher Secondary School Playground at Chamata in Nalbari district today.
Blue Bird won the toss and put in Chamata SC to bat. They were restricted to 103 for eight in 25 overs. Blue Bird reached their target losing four wickets in 23.3 overs. Dhrubajyoti Haloi was named Man of the Match. Tomorrow, Delhi Public School, Guwahati, will play Chamata Cricket Coaching Centre.
