Girls rescued

Patna: Two students, Soni Kumari and Manisha Kumari, who were missing from the city since December 19, have been traced to Pune. olice said the girls were tracked down based on the call details of their mobiles.

Man shot

Sheohar: A 35-year-old man, identified as Chander Ram, was shot dead on Sunday near a pond on the outskirts of Tariyani Chhapra village under Tariyani police station. Ram was attacked when he was returning to his village at around 12.30pm.

Drug haul

Raxaul: Sashastra Seema Bal personnel posted at the Pantoka camp seized 1.8 quintals of marijuana on Sunday morning.

Murder

Siwan: Usari village resident Tabasssum Zhan Ara was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband, Ali Ahmad, on Saturday night.

Lynched

Sasaram: One person was lynched and six others were injured when Dawat village residents in Rohtas district attacked them on Sunday morning, suspecting the victims to be thieves.
