Agra, Dec. 18 (PTI): A time bomb was found in a roadside eatery on the outskirts of Agra yesterday, prompting authorities to sound an alert in the Taj city.
The bomb, with a battery and circuit attached, was found by a waiter in a bag under a table in the eatery at 10pm yesterday, police said.
Two youths who had come to eat around 9.30pm left the bag, said a staff member of the eatery in the Teri Bagh area.
The police said that the bomb was taken in a sand-filled tractor trolley to the Kalindi Vihar forest area where it was defused.
A team of investigators from Delhi has reached Agra.
The bomb was similar to the one that exploded in a private nursing home in the city in September, the police added.
