Bomb attack

Patna, Dec. 14: Criminals this morning hurled a crude bomb at the residence of Mohammed Mahmood Qureshi, the councillor of ward number 64 of Patna Municipal Corporation, in the Sudarshan Path area under Chowk police station.

Qreshi had allegedly received an extortion call on December 10 from a person who identified himself as Shansheer. The councillor was asked to cough up Rs 2 lakh or face consequences.

An FIR has been lodged in this connection. The police said the matter was being investigated. The damage in house of Qureshi in the explosion was negligible.
