Dec 22 date for bypoll
New Delhi
: The Election Commission on Monday declared the dates for bye-election to Rajya Sabha from Assam and Bihar. The election was necessitated by the deaths of MPs Sabir Ali (Bihar) on November 15 and Silvius Condpan (Assam) on October 10. he notifications will be issued on December 5 and the last date to make nominations is December 12. The commission has fixed December 24 as the deadline before which elections should be over.
Chargesheet
Patna:
Vigilance Investigation Bureau on Monday filed chargesheet against former vigilance constable Prakash Kuzoor and former vigilance computer operator Premjeet Kumar Sinha in the special vigilance court for allegedly withdrawing Rs 5.10 lakh from the bank account of former Vaishali district manager of Bihar State Food Corporation, Manoj Kumar through ATM.

Patna:
Guddu Yadav, who was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head for being allegedly involved in over a dozen cases of murder, loot and extortion, was arrested in Jamui on Monday.

Patna
: The city police on Monday raided a printing press at Kunkun Singh Lane under Pirbohor police station and recovered fake wrappers of brands such as Hindustan Lever Limited.
Health camp
Patna: A free health check-up camp for senior citizens was organised by Indian Bank at Gandhi Maidan. More than 100 persons were examined and tests were done for them.
Charge
Patna:
Doing away with the old system of issuing need-based order for handing over charge, the state government on Monday issued a notification which said in the case of the absence of the chief secretary, the incumbent development commissioner would be in-charge.
