Dhanbad lawyer association clicks right

Dhanbad Bar Association on Saturday inaugurated its own web portal,, thereby becoming the first association of lawyers in the country to boast of its own website.

The website, which was launched at a function organised at the Dhanbad bar library, is likely to dish out a host of information pertaining to the history, vision and missions of the association, besides providing data about its committee members. The portal also includes information on bails, lawyers and eminent judges, besides a photo gallery to enable citizens to know their counsels.

Speaking to The Telegraph, president of the association Samrendra Kumar Srivastava said that it was essential for the lawyers to adopt the latest technology, when the world was going digital.

ďThe website will help us access information faster as also help us save a lot of paper and money,Ē he said.

Srivastava, also lauded the efforts of senior lawyers A.K. Srivastava and Jaya Kumar, who he said played an instrumental role to get the website up and running in about one month.

ďThe links of other relevant sites like the Supreme Court of India, Jharkhand High Court and department of legal affairs of the Government of India, would also be incorporated on the web portal,Ē said A.K. Srivastava.
