Two boys rescued from Goa
Balurghat, Oct. 16: Two boys from Kumarganj near here, who went missing three months ago, were rescued from Goa and handed over to the parents today.
Police said a couple had lured the two teenagers, aged 13 and 14, to Goa with the promise of good-paying jobs. But they sold the boys to a quarry owner there. The boys’ parents had lodged a missing diary with Kumarganj police on August 26 on the basis of which an investigation had started. The police contacted their counterparts in Goa and rescued Jayanta and Sunil from the house of Nayan Hansda, the leader of the gang that “supplied” boys. The boys were brought here yesterday and handed over to the parents.
