Industrialists of East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan will approach chief minister Arjun Munda to ask for more time to give suggestions on the first draft of the state industrial policy 2011.
The meeting was held under the aegis of Aiada on Tuesday. “The state industry department had asked for our suggestions by September 30. But industrialists have asked for time till November in order to discuss the issues threadbare,” said Aiada secretary Shiwendra Singh.
The industrialists were also aggrieved that their inputs on vital issues such as land acquisition and capital subsidy were not incorporated in the 85-page draft, copies of which were handed at the meeting.
“The policy should be such that investors do not think twice before opening their units here,” said national vice-president of Laghu Udyog Bharati N.K. Singh.
