West Indies manage 125

London: Ravi Bopara recorded England’s best T20 bowling figures as the West Indies were bowled out for 125 in the first T20 international, on Friday, at The Oval.

The all-rounder returned figures of 4/10, while only three West Indians reached double figures.

The tourists collapsed after Samit Patel removed Dwayne Smith, who had been the early aggressor, hitting two fours and two sixes to help the West Indies to 51 for one.

While Smith had reached 33 in 21 balls, new man Marlon Samuels managed just four before Swann hit his stumps with a big off-break.

England’s spinners were in full control at this point, slowing the scoring and beating the bat on a regular basis.
