Rebel MP slams Nitish
Patna, Sept. 1:
Suspended JD(U) MP Upendra Kushwaha and convener of the recently formed political outfit Bihar Navnirman Manch on Thursday criticised chief minister Nitish Kumar for allegedly distributing blank bank passbooks to beneficiaries of Indira Awas Yojana. ushwaha demanded immediate probe into the matter.
Manager held
Patna:
CBI personnel arrested B.K. Choudhary, a manager of Dulhin Bazaar branch of the Punjab National Bank, on Thursday while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 from one Ranjeet Kumar for issuing Kisan Credit Card in the name of his wife Renu Devi.
Extortion
Patna:
Balram Singh, the block development officer of Arari in Sheikhpura district, has received a threat to his life allegedly for not paying extortion money to a criminal of the area.
Directives
Patna:
The state police headquarters has issued directives to all superintendents of police asking them not to use Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) personnel in law and order duty. Additional-director-general of police (headquarters) Rajvardhan Sharma said SAP would be used only in operations against Maoists and notorious criminal gangs in the state.
Arrests
Patna:
Mohammed Raza, Chandan Kumar and Inder Kumar were arrested on Thursday for alleged robberies on Daniawa-Fatuha road in Patna City area.
