SPOT THE CHANGE: Former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee waits backstage on Rani Rashmoni Road for Biman Bose and other CPM leaders who had gone to Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum. Bhattacharjee, who reached the venue at 12.41pm when it was raining, was advised by party supporters to wait under the tarpaulin-roofed shed and offered a cup of tea. Sitting near a plastic bag with audio system devices, Bhattacharjee waited for close to 20 minutes, glancing at his watch and asking a party worker at least thrice to phone and find out how long Bose and the others would take to reach the venue.
