Win for Shipra

Shipra Sarkar pipped Supriya Pramanik to win the 3000m event of the girls under-18 category at the East Zone Junior Athletics Meet, which kicked off on Monday. Shipra clocked 11:28.1s, while her opponent came home in 11:29.4s.

Felicitation

Mohun Bagan felicitated their former star player Bhaichung Bhutia, on Monday. Bhutia made it clear that he does not have any issues with Bagan. “I don’t have any grudge against the club. My only job is to develop United Sikkim for the betterment of Indian football,” he said.

Morgan stance

Trevor James Morgan affirmed that he is unwilling to release any East Bengal players for the national camp, which starts next week for the Trinidad & Tobago and Pakistan tours.
