PG entry open till July 27
Patna: Patna University (PU) has extended its schedule of admission to postgraduate (PG) courses by a week with a view to facilitate students whose graduation results have been delayed.
he application forms for admission to PG courses can be submitted till July 27.

Arrests
Patna: Ten criminals, including four members of an inter-district gang, in two separate operations on Tuesday were arrested. Nine country-made firearms and a huge quantity of ammunitions were also seized, said Rohtas superintendent of police Manu Maharaj.

Patna: The state government on Tuesday notified the promotion of nine IPS officers of 1997 and 1998 batches to selection grade. The officers are Shyam Kumar, Amit Lodha, Ratna Sanjay, Amrit Raj, K.S. Anupam, M.R. Naik, A.K. Sharma, N.P. Singh and S.I. Das.

Chhapra: State information commission has slapped a fine on registrar Vijay Pratap Kumar of Jai Prakash University for not providing information regarding procedure of appointment of principals of different colleges under the varsity.
Seizure
Chhapra: Around 40kg of explosives were seized and one person arrested. Saran superintendent of police A.K. Satyarthi said the man was arrested from Amnaour from where the explosives were recovered.
