Body dumped on road
Patna:
The body of a person was recovered from Manas Marg area under Shastri Nagar police station on Thursday morning. he police said the body was of a man between 35 and 40 years of age. The police suspect he was strangled to death. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Recovery
Patna:
Shastri Nagar police have recovered two boys and two girls from a flat in Shivpuri area. The police suspect a sex racket was going on in the area.
Bail rejected
Patna:
Anticipatory bail petition of Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan was rejected by district and sessions judge B.N. Mishra in connection with the fake passport case on Thursday. Khan is lodged in Arthur Road Jail in Maharashtra.
Adjournment
Patna:
A bench of Justice A.K. Trivedi of Patna High Court on Thursday adjourned the bail petition hearing of senior Congress leader and former Assembly speaker Sadanand Singh for two weeks in connection with a case of irregularities in the recruitment of 90 lower division clerks in the Assembly between 2000 and 2005.
Reply sought
Patna:
A division bench of judges S.K. Katriar and Vikas Jain of the high court directed the state government to file its reply within two weeks on a PIL seeking direction to clear encroachments along the Sudhiya canal in Rohtas district affecting irrigation around 5,000 acre in the area.
Arrest
Sasaram:
Three pantry car employees and an AC operator on 2274 New Delhi-Howrah Duranto Express were arrested at Dehri-on-Sone station on charges of misbehaviour with a woman passenger.

Three children of a family reportedly died because of chicken pox on Thursday.
