Seminar on babies
June 27:

PM on N-E policy
Guwahati, June 27:
A Finer delegation led by chairman R.S. Joshi has informed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that the North East Industrial Investment Policy 2007 declared by the government is not being implemented in its letter and spirit. The delegates, who met Singh on June 24, requested him to ensure restoration of arbitrary dilutations made by the ministry of finance, a release today said.
Accident
Tezpur:
Suvhan Nishad, a truck labourer, died and 12 others were injured when the truck hit a tree and skidded off the road at Sagaliahat near Bihaguri around 10.45 on Monday morning. The injured have been admitted to Tezpur Kanaklata civil hospital.
Surrender
Imphal:
Around 33 militants belonging to the Pakhan Revolutionary Army, the NSCN (I-M), the NSCN (K) and the NNC formally surrendered with arms on Monday before GOC 57 Mountain Division Maj. Gen. D. H. Hooda and Manipur director-general of police Y. Joykumar Singh at the division’s headquarters. Molum Anal, commander-in-chief Pakhan Revolutionary Army, was among those who surrenderd.
Robbed
Dhubri:
Mosir Ali, 26, of Jhapsabari village under Golokganj police station was stabbed by some unidentified goons who snatched Rs 17,000 cash from him at Matiabog on NH 31 under Gouripur police station of Dhubri district on Sunday night. He has been admitted to Dhubri civil hospital.
