Carmel gets fresh guard

Dhanbad, June 22: Catch ’em young and hone their leadership skill seems to be the mantra, with Carmel School today swearing in a bunch of young leaders, who would aid the administration to ensure the smooth running of the institution.

The programme, which had high court lawyer and wife of deputy commissioner Sunil Kumar Burnwal, Richa Sanchita, as the chief guest, witnessed students being sworn in for various posts.

While Class XII student Aprajita Vishain took oath as the school president, Archana Anima Kujur of Class X was selected as the assistant student pupil leader.

Ishu Jain, Pragati Agarwal, Bitasha Roy, Ragini, Bhavya Singh and Tanya Shah were sworn-in as education minister, sanitation minister, cultural minister, information and broadcasting minister, sports minister and social science minister respectively.

“The school cabinet was formed to help students learn to take up responsibilities and hone their leadership skill that will help them in the future,” principal Sister Margaret Mary said.
