Mumbai, June 18: The country’s foreign exchange reserves dropped $2.40 billion in the week ended June 10 on the back of a heavy decline in core foreign currency assets (FCAs). The reserves had risen $2.69 billion to $312.90 billion in the previous reporting week. FCAs, the largest component of the total reserves, dropped $2.39 billion to $278.51 billion for the week ended June 10, the Reserve Bank said in its weekly data.

Microsoft

Washington, June 18: Microsoft has won the US antitrust approval to buy Internet phone service Skype, the Federal Trade Commission has said in a website posting. Microsoft had announced in May it was buying Skype for $8.5 billion, its biggest-ever acquisition, placing a rich bet on mobile and the Internet to try and best rivals such as Google Inc.
