When Salman Khan falls in love with something or someone, you can be sure he’ll give his 100 per cent to the object of desire. A few weeks back, Salman got a chance to watch Chillar Party, UTV Spotboy’s kiddie flick co-directed by Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari. He loved it so much that he immediately agreed to Ronnie Screwvala’s proposal to join him as the co-producer.

Till now, Salman was the only ‘Khan’ in Bollywood to not have a production house, but Chillar Party changes all that. And now that he is involved, you can bet Salman will go out of his way to help the project. He has involved himself with everything — right from marketing to the positioning to the release date. The film is set to hit the theatres on July 8 to enable Salman to give it some more time.

For some time, Salman will remain busy promoting Ready, his next movie, but he has come up with a unique plan to support Chillar Party. The Dabangg star will be seen sporting tees that read ‘Get Ready for Chillar Party’ — just as he wears ‘Being Human’ T-shirts everywhere. This, even as he goes around promoting Ready.

The grapevine has it that Chillar Party is a true-blue children’s film and many in the industry have already seen — and loved — it. The story is a roller-coaster ride with a gang of innocent but feisty kids from Chandan Nagar Colony and how they fight the big bad world of politics. Moral of the story: even ‘chhote bachche’ can move mountains. Chillar Party teaches everyone to feel rather than just think.
