ICSE/ISC results on May 17

The results of this year’s ICSE and ISC examinations will be announced on May 17.

Examinees can know their results by logging on to any of the following websites after 3pm:

www.cisce.indiaresults.com

www.cisce.examresults.net

www.cisce.myschool.in.com

www.cisce.topperlearning.com

“Students, guardians and the schools can access the results as soon as we officially declare them at a press conference in Delhi at 3pm on May 17,” Gerry Arathoon, the additional secretary and officiating chief executive and secretary of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, which conducts the two exams, said on Thursday.

The council has also made arrangements to enable students to know their results through SMS on GSM cellphones.

An examinee will have to type ICSE/ISC, followed by “space” and his/her index number, and send the message to 51818, 56263, 58888, 5676750, 56677, 56388, 54242 or 5782728.

A total of 41,628 examinees from around 400 schools affiliated to the Delhi-based council had appeared for the ICSE and ISC exams.

In 2010, the ICSE/ISC results were announced on May 18.

Many students and parents had feared that this year’s results would be announced late because of the cancellation of 13 ISC papers (both theory and practical) in the first week of February.

A packet containing question papers of the 13 subjects had allegedly gone missing while being transported from Delhi to a council office in Uttar Pradesh.

“Fresh question papers had to be printed but we did not defer the exam schedule. So there was no reason to fear that this year’s results would be published late,” said an official of the council.
