Dead bird on runway

dead owl on the runway of the city airport forced a flight to make a go-around on Friday evening. Airport officials said the pilot of Air India’s Chennai-Calcutta flight informed the air traffic control about a dead bird on the main runway. A Jet Airways’ Agartala-Calcutta flight, which was about to land, was told to hover in the air for 15 minutes, while airport officials inspected the runway and found a dead owl. The flight was allowed to land after the bird was removed.
