Ulfa held in Dawki
Guwahati, March 1:
Two Ulfa members were picked up by Assam police from Dawki in Meghalaya, close to the Indo-Bangla border yesterday and were produced in a local court here. They will again be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, Kamrup, on March 4, as directed by the court, since the two were minors when the case was registered against them.
The forest department has rescued an adjutant stork injured by a power cable at Baghmora on Tuesday.
Fire broke out at two places, one at Titabor and the other at Marwari Thakurbari damaging property worth several lakhs of rupees on Tuesday.
Forty-two heads of cattle worth Rs 9 lakh were seized by 22 battalion BSF (water wing) from different parts of riverine border of Dhubri district on Tuesday.
