Libya engineers
Dibrugarh, Feb. 25:
The two Oil India Limited engineers, Ghana Kanta Gogoi and M. Murthy, will soon arrive in India along with two others from trouble-torn Libya. A company spokesman said the four had reached Tripoli airport this afternoon with help from some locals.
Excise raid
Jorhat:
The excise department on Friday carried out raids in many areas of Titabor, Barhulla, Teok, and Mariani of Jorhat district and seized about 120 litres of illicit liquor. Four persons were arrested.
Dharna
Dibrugarh:
Around 200 members of the Dibrugarh District Skilled Unemployed Youth Association on Friday staged a dharna in front of the Dibrugarh DC office, demanding jobs at the gas cracker project. The association also sent a memorandum to the chief minister through the district administration.

Five persons, including the driver of the autorickshaw, died and five were injured when a speeding truck collided with the autorickshaw at Chowr-aguri on NH 31 under Bongaigaon police station of Bongaigaon district on Friday. wo passengers of the auto-rickshaw died on the spot while three other later succumbed to injuries in Bongaigaon Civil Hospital. police source said that three among five critically injured admitted in Bongaigaon private nursing home while two in Bongaigaon Civil Hospital.
