Pilgrim dies in mishap

Gopalganj, Feb. 24: A pilgrim from Sri Lanka Kalawati (50) died and 11 others were injured when a bus carrying them turned turtle on National Highway-28 near Sonbarsa village in Gopalganj district around 6.30am today.

The tourists were followers of Lord Buddha and were heading to Gaya from Kushinagar.

The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the bus. The driver is absconding. Police has sent the bodies for autopsy.

The injured were sent to Patna Medical College and Hospital and after initial treatment they were shifted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.
