Musharraf wishes
Karachi: Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, well known for his passion for cricket, wished the national cricket team good luck in their endeavour to win the World Cup. PCB unhappy
Karachi: The decision of the former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik not to play in the domestic tournament — Pentangular Cup — has angered the national selectors and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The axed all-rounder turned down the offer to lead the Punjab team in the five-team competition, saying he had committed himself to working as an expert on an Indian television channel during the World Cup.
Bravo's favourite
New Delhi: Darren Bravo, the first cousin of Brian Lara and younger brother of Dwayne Bravo, considers Lara to be his role model. Sachin Tendulkar, however, is his favourite. Sachin Tendulkar is definitely my favourite batsman apart from Brian. I try to learn from the way he goes about his batting, said the lefthander.
Party planners
Bangalore: Morne Morkel and JP Duminy alongside fitness coach Rob Walter are on the South African team's social committee. Their latest project was organising Fridays movie night for the team. We got some popcorn and pizza and watched a movie called The Goods, said Morkel.
