Jet cancels flight
The Jet Airways evening flight on Calcutta-Patna-Calcutta route did not operate on Tuesday because of operational hitches, said a Jet official. The passengers were informed in advance and all were accommodated on a Kingfisher flight. As the passengers were informed in advance we did not face any last-minute rush. All those who turned up were accommodated on the Kingfisher flight,” said the official.

Visit called off
The two-day Bodhgaya visit of D.M. Jayaratne, the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, from February 16, has been cancelled because of religious and political reasons. He was supposed to visit Bodhgaya with a sapling of the Bodhi tree from Anuradhapuram in Sri Lanka, to be planted on the campus of the temple.
