Tremor felt in Purnea
Panic gripped Purnea residents after a mild tremor was felt on Friday evening. hough Patna meteorological office had no information about the tremor, the state disaster management department confirmed it and said they were prepared for any eventuality.
Kids get bail
Four children Ś Suman (6), Pintoo (8), Sunder (10) and Savitri (12) Ś were presented in court in the district headquarters on Friday in connection with a case of throwing acid. The children were granted bail in the case.
Piyush (5), son of rural engineering organisation contractor, Deepak Kumar, who was kidnapped from Biharsharif in Nalanda, was rescued from Bakhtiarpur in Patna rural on Friday.
The state government on Friday formally handed over 446 acres of land to the first vice-chancellor of Nalanda International University, Gopa Sabharwal, at a meeting chaired by chief minister Nitish Kumar.
