New Sebi chief
New Delhi, Jan. 28: U.K. Sinha, the chairman of UTI MF, is understood to have been appointed as the next Sebi chief. The term of present Sebi chairman C.B. Bhave will end on February 17. Sinha, who is also the chairman of the Association of Mutual Funds in India, was a front-runner for the post. A government search panel had reportedly recommended him for the post.
Mumbai, Jan. 28: Zydus Cadila and Bayer Healthcare will form a joint venture to market each other’s products in India. The joint venture, Bayer Zydus Pharma, will focus on women’s healthcare, metabolic disorders, diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular diseases and oncology.
New York, Jan. 28: Microsoft has recorded a 0.45 per cent dip in net income at $6.63 billion in the October-December period against $6.66 billion a year ago. However, revenues rose on sale of office software and Kinect video game accessory.
