A good cause, pan-Indian products, a traditional ambience and last but not the least, a splendid shopping experience, are the factors that go to make India Haat 2011, hosted by Rotary Club Of Calcutta Mahanagar in association with t2, the most happening event in town. Expected to generate a total footfall of over 15,000 by the time curtains come down on the three-day exhibition today, what sets it apart from others is its emphasis on showcasing products from exhibitors outside the city. In fact, more than half the stalls are by participants from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Santiniketan, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Lucknow, among others, displaying some of the best that India has to offer. The exhibition is divided into five segments or zones for the convenience of visitors. Designer Haat has purses, bags, shawls, stoles, jackets, scarves, hair and fashion accessories, as well as footwear. Jewel Haat is set to bedazzle prospective buyers with an impressive array of polki, diamonds and stones, kundan, meena, junk and fashion jewellery by well-known designers of the country. Haute Haat has a collection of prêt and couture, designer suits, tunics and dresses, menswear, kidswear, Western and Indo-Western clothing and bridal wear. Art Haat has artwork and ceramics, terracotta, metal and wooden artefacts, silverware, paper prodcuts, murals, pottery, handicraft, glassware, cane products, as well as ethnic and contemporary paintings by renowned artists. Angan Haat features home furnishing and decor, household accessories, gift items, dry flowers, candles and chocolate bouquets and aromatic bath products.

QUIZ
