Showcasing the brilliance of established masters along with the fresh talent of upcoming artists, Art Bazaar 2011, the ongoing art show, offers a delightful survey of contemporary aesthetic endeavours all over the country. Featuring paintings, sculpture, prints and photographs to suit every pocket, this show aims to bring art into the homes of every art lover. Based on various themes and created in their creators’ distinctive style, the works on show share a common purpose: to portray the variety and diversity of the living universe and thus pay tribute to nature’s bounty. Besides providing visual pleasure, the colourful mix of artworks also expresses man’s relationship with and dependence on nature, an important fact perhaps forgotten in the humdrum existence of modern, urban life. Also featuring works in aid of Nandimukh Samsad. Participating artists include Ramananda Bandyopadhyay, Jogen Chowdhury, Rabin Mandal, Ganesh Haloi, Sunil Das, Samir Aich, Shuvaprasanna, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Jehangir Sabavala, Partha Pratim Deb (a painting by him appears here), Atin Basak, Anita Roy Chowdhury, Sujit Kumar Karan, Sanatan Dinda, Mahjabin Majumdar and Tapas Konar.
