Anti-China protests

Itanagar, Jan. 13 (PTI): The issuance of stapled visas to two Arunachalees by the Chinese embassy in New Delhi has sparked strong protests here today with the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union burning effigies of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Relief

B>n Guwahati: AASU, in association with Marwari Yuba Mancha, on Thursday distributed 25,000 blankets and relief materials among refugees staying at relief camps in Goalpara district after the Rabha-Garo ethnic clash.

Train timings

Guwahati: The 12505 Down Guwahati-New Delhi North East Express has been rescheduled for 1pm instead of 9.45am on Friday because of late arrival of the incoming train.

Dhubri: Rajnarayan Paul, 55, a prominent citizen of ward 4 of Dhubri town, died of cardiac arrest on Thursday night.
