NAAC grades Debraj College A
Guwahati: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accorded A grade to Debraj Roy College in Golaghat district. Three colleges in Assam have got the A grade, the other two being Cotton College here and Dimoria College at Khetri in Kamrup district. While Cotton College got an average of 3.39 cumulative grade points, Dimoria College got 3.10 and Debraj Roy College got 3.11 in NAAC assessment. A college needs 3 average points to get A grade in the assessment.
Health centre
Jorhat: Assam health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarmah inaugurated a public health centre at Chenijan on the outskirts of this town on Sunday. The PHC was built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh and two doctors and three nurses were posted there.
Sahitya meet
Kokrajhar: The 36th annual conference of Kokrajhar district committee of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha concluded on the premises of Patgaon school in Kokrajhar district on Sunday.
Aid distribution
Kokrajhar: The Marwary Yuva Manch of Kokrajhar distributed aids and appliances to the disabled persons of Lower Assam on Sunday. Altogether 80 tricycle, 140 wheel-chairs , 98 hearing aids, 390 crutches and 299
alkers were distributed to the beneficiaries at a function at Rashtriya Basha Hindi School in Kokrajhar.
