Huge win for North Eastern

Imphal, Jan. 5: North Eastern Reorganising and Cultural Association posted a six-goal victory against Youth Development Organisation today in a match of the 5th Manipur State League played at Khuman Lampak main stadium.

Kh. Satish Singh proved to be the dangerman as he slammed home five goals.

Youth Development Organisation seemed out of touch with lots of self-inflicted minor injuries in the game today while the North Eastern Reorganisation men seemed to have benefited from their exposure in the Loktak Trophy. Dominating the proceedings, North Eastern Reorganisation started the rampage early in the sixth minute as Rk. Sushil Singh banged home the opening goal. Kh. Satish Singh scored in the 8th, 18th and 26th minute to lead by four goals in the first half.

Youth Development Organisation tried to pull up their game but could hardly beat the North Eastern Reorganisation defensive line.

Satish Singh found his fourth goal in the 66th minute after he anticipated a cross from Rk. Sushil from the right penalty box. He again found the net in the 68th minute.

N. Milan Singh of North Eastern Reorganisation and Cultural Association was shown a yellow card.

In another match, Tiddim Road Unique Gamy Players Union thrashed Youth Welfare Club by five goals.

For Tiddim, N. Sushil Singh scored two goals while M. Sudhiranjan, T. Kenedy and M. Dhananjoy fetched a goal each.
