Rebels nabbed
Bhubaneswar: Mayurbhanj police on Monday arrested three Maoists and seized several weapons and explosives during a raid conducted in the area.

Farmer death
BHUBANESWAR: A 42-year-old farmer died of heart attack here on Monday. he deceased, Bainath Pradhan, a resident of Krushnachai village under Seragada block in Berhampur, had borrowed Rs 40,000 to cultivate paddy in his land.
He was mentally depressed since the last few days for the crop loss and started cutting the damaged crop two days ago, Utsav Pradhan, father of Bainath, said.
Mad dog
Berhampur: A mad dog mauled 25 people including some students who were on their way to a morning tuition at Baliguda in Kandhamal district.
he injured were treated at the Baliguda Hospital. Irate locals later beat the dog to death.
Protest
Berhampur: Hundreds of farmers under the banner of Chasi Surakshya Abhiyan and Rushikulya Royt Mahasabha, rejected the package of the state government for the distressed farmers. he farmers staged a protest on the thoroughfares of Hinjilicut town and organised a rally at the office of the Tahasildar prior to submitting a memorandum addressed to the governor and the Prime Minister.
