Mumbai, Dec. 14: Intel Capital will make a minority investment in Bangalore-based firm Omnesys Technologies.
The deal is Intels eighth investment in the country in 2010. Total investment of Intel Corporations global investment arm this year in India stands at $45 million.
The company did not disclose the terms of the transaction that include its size.
Intel Capital, which invests in technology start-ups, is looking for more such opportunities in India, Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital and executive vice-president of Intel, said here today.
He indicated that Intel Capital was largely looking to invest in technology companies. We will continue to invest aggressively in India, he said.
Omnesys Technologies has Angel Broking and Edelweiss as its clients.
