Vikash makes final

Vikash Singh ousted top seed Ankit Rao in the boys’ singles U-12 semi-finals of the BTA-Aita talent series, Wednesday. The local lad won 6-2, 6-1 to set up a title clash with second-seeded Nitin Kumar Sinha, who beat third seed Akshat Agarwal 6-2, 6-2.In the girls’ singles U-16 quarter finals, top seed Aandrita Deb blanked Rashmi Thakkar 6-0, 6-0.

Tennis meet

Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, BSF and CRPF booked their semi-final berths in the 11th All India police lawn tennis championship, at the South Club, on Wednesday.

Golf tourney

City-based golfer Samraat Basu continued his good form to lead the course on the second day with a card of one-over 71 in the Toyota Etios Eastern India Junior and Sub-Junior Golf tournament, at the Tollygunge golf course on Wednesday.

EB lose

Town Club beat East Bengal by six wickets in the AN Ghosh Memorial Trophy. In another match, ABP Sports Club got the better of Kumartuli Institute by seven wickets.
