Thumping victory for RCF

Martyrs’ cup

Kokrajhar, Oct. 26: Railway Coach Factory (RCF), Punjab, thrashed Global Sports Academy, Gossaigaon 7-0 to move into the next round of the 11th Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup football championship, being held at Kokrajhar DSA Sports ground here in the district.

In a one-sided match, the RCF players dominated the field from the start, giving little chance to the Global boys and scored one goal after another to win the match 7-0.

RCF player Abhishek opened the score for the team in the 23rd minute.

Five minutes later, Ajay Kumar hit the net again.

Abhishek scored his second goal in the 32nd minute.

In the 43rd minute, Dilbak Singh scored the fourth goal for the team.

In the second half of the game, the Global players tried to make a comeback but could not match the RCF.

Tomorrow FCI, Guwahati will take on Dwimalu Club, Udalguri.
