Dipendu does it for Md. Sp.

Mohammedan Sporting rode Dipendu Biswas brace to thrash Railway FC 3-0, and register their fourth consecutive victory in the CFL Premier League, on Sunday.

The break for Moham-medan Sporting, however, came in the 72nd minute. After Hassan lobbed the ball from right, towards the Railway goal mouth, Habibur’s header sent the ball to the opposition goalpost.

Thereafter, substitute Dipendu Biswas converted a free kick to score Moham-medan Sporting’s second in the 77th minute. He followed it soon after.

A cross from Satyajit from the right flank was netted as Dipendu cleverly placed his left footer just right side of upcoming Railway keeper Soumen.

Lucky Imran was declared the Man of the Match.

The other CFL tie between Chirag United and Aryan finished in a 1-1 draw.

Babatunde was declared the Man of the Match.

Manoj, Treta clinch titles

Manoj Sewa and Treta Bhattacharya emerged as the champions of the Open singles events in men’s and ladies’ respectively, at the Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Championship 2010.
