Trader shot at
Lalu Deb, 30, a trader, suffered hand injuries, when two unidentified men fired at him in Sarsuna on Thursday morning. Deb, a resident of the area, is undergoing treatment at a nursing home. Police suspect business rivalry was behind the attack.
Kidnap arrest
Uttam Pandey, 38, was arrested in Thakurpukur on Thursday in connection with the alleged abduction of Jyotsna Bal at Hindusthan Park on September 3.

Power supply

Life term
