Explosives supplier in net
B>nPatna: Rohtas police on Thursday seized 1.5 lakh detonators and 1,500kg explosive materials (picture by Sanjay Kumar Choudhary) under Dehri police station of the district on Thursday.
ohtas superintendent of police Vikas Vaibhav said the consignment was stocked to be supplied to Maoists operating in the region. An alleged explosive supplier, Surya Deo Tiwary, was also arrested. The SP said the police had earlier seized 1,500kg of explosives from the accused’s godown a fortnight ago. One person was also arrested in this connection.
Kids in jail
B>nPatna: Two women and their four children were produced in the chief judicial magistrate’s court on Thursday in connection with a dowry demand case. The women identified as Sunita Devi, 50, and her daughter Mamta, 28, were arrested by Kotwali police and produced in court. The mother wished to keep her children with her even in jail. CJM Surendra Pratap Singh forwarded the mother and her daughter along with four children to Beur Jail till October 6.

B>nPatna: Patna High Court on Thursday directed the Patna senior superintendent of police to furnish the progress report with regard to the inquiry made in connection with a case of alleged misbehaviour with a lawyer by Special Task Force and Gandhi Maidan police personnel. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Rekha M. Doshit and Justice Jyoti Saran heard the petition filed by an advocate.
