Murder suspects nabbed
Patna
: Patna police have arrested four people in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Atul Pandey on Friday. The ones arrested have been identified as Lila alias Lallu alias Jitendra Yadav, Amit Kumar alias Painter, Rajesh alias Pandey Gope and Sunil Kumar alias Jitu. hree country-made pistols, two live cartridges and a cartridge shell have been recovered from their possession. Personal enmity is said to be the reason for the killing. The police said that the deceased also had a criminal history and was wanted for murder in the Pirbohor and the Kadamkuan police stations. Pandey, who owned a furniture shop at the Bihari Saulane area under the Pirbohor police station, was shot on September 3.

: As many as 184 cases of violation of model code of conduct have been reported n Bihar till Friday after the announcement of Assembly election dates on September 6. FIRs have been lodged in 97 such cases so far, additional chief electoral officer Kumar Anshumaly said on Friday. Maximum number of FIRs have been reported in cases related to the defacement of buildings and this number stood at 83.Two FIRs, one each in Kaimur and Aurangabad districts, have been lodged in connection with the cases related to inducement of voters, Anshumaly said.FIRs have also been lodged in cases in connection with violation of Motor Vehicles Act, LoudSpeaker Act, and holding of illegal meetings.
Trial voyage

: The first trial cruise of the joint venture of Bihar state tourism development corporation (BSTDC) and Assam Bengal Navigation Company Private Limited, recently reached Rajmahal in Jharkhand after starting its journey from Farakka in West Bengal. There are 12 foreign tourists on the ship. who would be taken to important tourists sites of Patna.
