Food inflation
New Delhi, Sept. 9: Food inflation rose to 11.47 per cent in the week ended August 28, fuelling fears of a rate hike by the RBI in its policy review later this month. Rising for the second consecutive week, food inflation jumped to 11.47 per cent on dearer cereals, fruits and milk. Food inflation was 10.86 per cent in the previous week.
Pipavav debut
Mumbai, Sept. 9: Shares of Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd has made a good debut on the bourses, opening at a premium of 22 per cent to the offer price. The scrip ended at Rs 54.05 on the BSE.
Ohio setback
New Delhi, Sept. 9: India will formally convey its disappointment to the US over the ban imposed by the state of Ohio on offshore outsourcing at the high-level bilateral trade policy forum meeting in Washington later this month.
