Gopalganj, Sept. 5: Large-scale misappropriation of funds by the agriculture department, in the name of subsidy given to farmers, has been detected.

The agriculture department provided equipment to farmers of Gopalganj district at a recently held Kissan Mela. Instead of buying from branded companies at a cheaper rate, the department purchased the equipment at double the price from Punjab Agro Centre in Mirganj.
