A new role for Banerjee

Calcutta: Former international umpire Subrata Banerjee will be delivering lectures as a visiting faculty member at the BCCI’s Umpires’ Academy in Nagpur from August 9-12.

“I will be teach BCCI Level-I umpires on match management. The course module also has positioning during leg before appeals, no-balls, fair and unfair play,” Banerjee informed.

Along with Banerjee, former international umpires S.K. Bansal and V.N. Kulakrni will also deliver lectures. This will be 16th batch of Level-I umpires who are receiving state of the art training on latest technologies related umpiring.

Meanwhile, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB)’s first working committee meeting for the new season will be held on August 17.

The association will also hold a condolence meeting in the memory of late Arun Mitra, on August 13.
